I mean "Best $38 I've ever spent" and NO, the installation job is not permanent (with clips). It looks like crap but I wanted to see and hear if there is a difference! Now it will be installed correctly. I wanted to upgrade the exhaust on my '01 SV650, but I didn't want to spend $300 on a "resonator". I found this pipe at Revain and thought it was cheap enough to "roll the dice". Received the tube yesterday, took some readings in decibels with a sound level meter and was pleasantly surprised at the noise reduction! A bike without a muffler was about 115-120 dB and with a pipe 95-100 dB! I know it's not carbon fiber but the tube (not metal) is warm to the touch and won't burn you unlike a standard tube. Another advantage of this tube is the WEIGHT REDUCTION! The stock handset weighed a good 10-15 pounds (didn't), but this handset can only weigh 3 pounds. All in all I think this is still a great product and I will keep buying it.
