This works like a dream and is almost $10 less than the same model at my local beer store. I saw a post here where he broke bottles and didn't have this problem at all. My guess is that this person(s) tried to stretch too far and figured more force was needed for the final crimp. Stop moving the handles down when they are roughly parallel to the table top. Your intuition is probably telling you to continue past this point, but don't. There's no distinct click or bright indicator that the bottle cap is properly closed, so it's all about the feel. I got used to it very quickly and everything was smooth. My best advice on this is if the movement isn't smooth and/or it seems like you need to apply enough force, STOP and either change position or explore your bottleneck. I grabbed a double rimmed bottle in my first bottle and didn't realize it until I tried putting on a few caps with some sort of problem. Browse reviews and see pictures of which bottles to use!
