Review on πŸ–€ Transparent Black HARIO Gs-70-T Silicone Lid: Perfectly Integrated with Coffee Pot in One Size by Jessica Randolph

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect for coffee machines

This is a beautiful pot and I thought the Hario stuff was very well made. But I have three questions. Firstly, does Hario Drip Cone Pot number two work? (Yes very good). Second, is it dishwasher safe? (yes, although the glass is as thick as a wine glass, not a glass pitcher, and the pointed spout bothers me a bit). Thirdly, is it possible to pour liquid from it without touching the silicone seal? Well, just like that. The coffee pot has a beautiful glass lid with a carefully designed silicone gasket that runs along the bottom of the lid to keep it on the coffee pot. So far, so good. But the bottom of the lid, including the rim of the silicone seal, goes almost an inch into the pot. And when the liquid touches that area, it seeps between the glass and silicone, causing a small cleaning task. If you only fill the pot halfway (up to the handle marked with your thumb) and pour slowly and carefully, you really can't touch the seal. At this point I just want my coffee. So, this is a nice kettle and I will enjoy using and looking at it while sipping coffee, but I can cut the gasket with scissors to make it even more perfect.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
