Review on OASE BioPlus 100 by Smokeythecryptkeeper Kaewchay

Very good for filter

After trying the canister filter and it flooded the floor I looked at the filters in the tank. This OASE wasn't one of the most "popular" brands, but it caught my attention, and with good reason. After buying it and putting it on the market I liked what it can do. The biggest advantage is that it can be tailored to your needs. Unlike other filters that require you to buy OEM filters, this item allows you to use what you want from any brand. Of course, be prepared to do everything by hand to fit into the OASE, such as: B. cut the sponge and so on. However, this allows for the inclusion of carbon and bioproducts. If needed, you can get a universal carbon storage bag from lfs in town for a dollar. Set the location in OASE to your liking or experiment with adapting it to the needs of the tanks. Defect. I have a 65 gallon planted tank, so the filter size is smaller by "normal" standards. BUT. If you know what you are doing and keep a balanced aquarium, keeping fish stocks low and not exceeding the recommended limit like most people do, you will be fine. The only other thing some people might worry about is its size (I bought the largest version they had) if you're not used to seeing a filter in the tank. Simply plant aquariums with plants around them. I can't run HOB and after flooding the OASE canister is the right way. If you are using a planted aquarium and prefer calmer water, install a drain near the surface but just below the water. This provides enough circulation in my 65 gallons to evenly distribute the CO2 injection as confirmed by the CO2 control fluid. One more thought. I read reviews where people complained about the noise it makes. I want to ask what is that noise? If you know how to install it below the surface, there will be no noise at all. This is not a waterfall filter, it sits in the tank below the waterline.
