Comfortable, durable and with the right cushioning in the right places. I'm not an avid cyclist so can't compare to high end products but for my purposes they are great. One piece of advice: anyone buying these shorts should consider ordering one size smaller than what they normally wear. I wear a medium size in boxers, compression shorts, etc. d. The environment in this product felt like a diaper and as some others have pointed out the elastic around the legs was very loose. The little one fits perfectly.
