We bought these in November and installed them in January. We have one in every room, as well as in the hallway and hallway. The one we put in the main room started beeping like the battery was dead, about a month later we replaced the battery and found the alarm itself had failed. I'm lying here tonight trying to catch my breath as I write this because the alarm in our hallway went off while we were sleeping. My husband and I (mind you I'm also 6 months pregnant) jump out of bed, he runs to see what's going on and I run into our son's room to grab him. The thing beeps 4-5 times and then just shuts off. We check the whole house, everything is fine. I will also enter this as defective. We ordered 2 packs and now 2 out of 6 alarms have broken within 6 months of installation. My confidence in these alarm clocks has gone and I will be replacing them with better and better brands. I wouldn't buy them unless you want a headache and write a bad review at midnight because you're awake after a false alarm.
