Get what you pay for. Under par threaded handle design

I was hoping it would be a quality piece but they were wrong because the threaded inserts are cheap due to the way they attach to the wooden handles. Very cheap and only a matter of time before they are all released. I could take it back and splurge on the premium Italian GI brand. As they say, buy once, cry once! Spend more on quality the first time to try to be cheap but a few times they just don't hold up over time! Edit: I think if you leave the handle attached for storage instead of constantly unscrewing it for storage, you minimize the risk of the threads coming out of the wooden handle. I guess I'll keep it to myself and just keep it with a pen. I used it in my kettle pizza oven last night and it worked great for rotating the pizza and keeping my main bowl cool and ready to fire up the next pizza. In hindsight, I probably would have spent a few bucks more for a metal gi. the brand made it to Italy. UPDATE: I've used this a few times and have to constantly pull on the handle when using it. No matter how tight I tighten it, it will loosen as I use it. And I have a strong grip, so it's not like I'm not gripping them tight enough. Bad design on the handle.
