It really works! in Security & Safety

This earthquake alarm is very reliable if you install it properly. Yes, it needs to be calibrated and will take some time to work properly, especially if you are not in an active seismic area. I installed it in Mexico City and after a month I found that even in El Salvador there were earthquakes. The alarm makes a loud but not annoying sound. Because it works with a pendulum that is in a triangle and acts as a boundary, when touched it sounds. This alarm detects P waves, which travel faster than destructive S waves, so this alarm sounds before an earthquake and sometimes you don't even feel it because it's too far away or too weak. How many seconds before depends on how close or far you are from the epicenter. Mexico City is a seismically hazardous area and the idea was to detect these earthquakes 250 miles away where the faults are, right in the Pacific or in Oaxaca. We also have Popocatepetl Volcano and so far there has been no activity so I still have to wait for some activity. You know how big or how big an earthquake is, what it sounds like, and you can act accordingly. For example, an earthquake in El Salvador (at a distance of 1000 miles and a magnitude of 7) produces only a few sounds for a second, while an earthquake that occurred at a distance of 300 miles and a magnitude of 5 produces several long and short sounds signals in a period of one second. 6 seconds. I expect a magnitude 7 in such an area will produce a sustained noise for at least 10 seconds. Since there is a sound almost every day, my family tries to guess how far away and how strong the earthquake is. An earthquake isn't fun, but science is when we study how the earth works and how events that happen very far away affect our living space. There really are no false alarms with this device, you can jump next to an alarm and it will go off. Just keep calm even though I set it to a very sensitive mode (the pendulum is very close to the triangle). Get timely information and link the pings in your alert to the magnitude of the earthquake. When it sounds now, I note the hour and sound of the alarm, and I usually get an email with details a few minutes later. This is a must if you live in a seismic area like California or Chile. Knowing in advance that an earthquake is coming can save your life. The bad news is that if you live right in the epicenter or where there's a disruption, you won't have enough time to get an alert. The pendulum works by moving in the presence of P waves, particularly those that come from the side rather than from below. , este aparato es para ti</Spanish>
