I bought this board to replace a faulty 2.0 board with a faulty capacitor that was causing temperature fluctuations. Above all. You cannot use this board in the original Creality CR-10S right away. The firmware is for SOVOL printers and will not work properly. I ended up downloading the unified TH3D firmware kit and compiling my own hex code (I wanted to smooth the mesh layer and adjust the thermal runaway time). Luckily, the TH3D download comes with everything you need. I was able to compile and flash a new .hex file in about 10 minutes. After flashing the new board, installation was easy (please make sure you label the wires before removing the old board. It fits snugly so might be tricky for people with big hands so I recommend using it a pair of tweezers or pliers to help with some small connections. With the new board my old CR-10S is back in business and SO QUIET -10s are very quiet. Apart from the fans there is almost no noise. I am very happy with the product and recommend it to anyone who wants to replace the previous version of the board or just wants to upgrade to a silent fee from the existing Fee 2.1 or 2.2.
