Review on πŸ”§ NEIKO 02474A 1/2" Drive Deep Impact Socket Set - 15 Piece Kit, 6 Point Metric Sizes (10-24 mm), High-Quality Cr-V Steel by Enrique Espinoza

Good set of 1/2 " deep metric impact sockets at a good price.

This is a good set of 1/2" deep metric impact sockets at a good price. I bought a cordless impact wrench mainly to speed up changing winter tires on two cars and an SUV and then switch back to summer tires in the spring. These are 12 wheels and 60 nuts that are removed and 12 wheels and 60 nuts that are returned twice a year. To be honest I only need 2 different nuts (17mm and 21mm) for 3 sets of nuts plus 13/16. Scissor jack adapter socket I bought to use an impact wrench to raise and lower cars. I will be ready for any need that arises. I like this set because it is a complete set with no missing heads from 10mm to 24mm. I also like the plastic case that keeps all the outlets neat and handy in one place without having to rummage through the toolbox. And the case is lined with a thin layer of foam that keeps sockets from rattling. The frames themselves are laser engraved in a large silver font that's really easy to read. The finish is chalky rather than smooth and polished. Another reviewer said they don't like it, but I do. As a result, the rosettes are non-slip and easy to grip when putting on or taking off the anvil with the ring. They also appear to be fairly well made, with no rough edges. These are fairly thin walled heads, so they should work well with most stock and non-stock wheels. This is chrome vanadium steel, not chrome molybdenum, and by most accounts chrome molybdenum has the edge when it comes to ductility and therefore impact wrench life. But the reviews seem to indicate that these sockets are holding up pretty well and I think if I break one I'll just replace it with a chromoly counterpart and it will fit the case just right. But for home use they will most likely last me a long time. I noticed that the product listing lists the case dimensions as 2.24 x 4.61 x 18.5 inches. But looking at the picture, I could see that it doesn't even come close to resembling a rectangular box. shown. And so the roulette wheel was born. Actual box size shown on the product listing is 3.5 x 9.5 x 12.5 inches. Apparently the case has changed over time and the Revain list has not been updated. I am very happy with them so far. also bought a SAE set of 14 deep sockets from 3/8" to 1 1/4" in the same body size. We recommend. Tires and wheels on a Mercedes SUV. I have a 17mm socket on the mounting nuts and a 13/16 socket for mounting adapters on a 2 ton scissor jack. About 5 of the 20 screws on the car. I had to grab a breaker and use brute force to disengage them. I recently had brakes on all 4 wheels and apparently the mechanic did the typical tightening of my nuts with a King Kong mounted air wrench. Anyway the heads worked perfectly and as I said the 17mm impact wrench took all the power of my impact wrench and crusher using my full weight and muscles to loosen 5 nuts. Surface not shiny or slippery. It is very easy to grab and remove the anvil on my impact wrench.
