Low quality you get what you pay for when you buy cheap you get cheap

Carburettor started the engine with factory settings as mentioned in another review but the problem is that its high idle so too high was set and so basically got the carb half throttle when starting the engine so of course it fires, my 50 year old Holly carb still does. When I started tweaking it, it went to shit. I disabled the fast idle so I could set the idle but the carb wouldn't idle, it stumbled and tried to idle but anywhere below 1200rpm and it just wouldn't go any further. I spent 2 days setting it up and configuring it and it absolutely does not idle. No matter where I adjusted the idle mixture screws and adjusted the choke and float levels, there was no idle. Works great at 1200rpm but that is twice the engine idle speed (600-700rpm). I thought I might save time by buying a new one, but a rebuilt American holly or Motorcraft/Autolith will still work better than this super low quality junk. All the effort and lost time was worth spending $1000 on a universal fuel injection system. Worst carburetor I have ever worked with and it was brand new right out of the box! don't buy that.
