Review on G Technology 0G04093 G RAID Removable Thunderbolt by John Raj

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great hardware but terribly misguided POV support company

I really, really, really want to love G-Tech. I have bought many very good products from them. However, I have to add that their software and customer support makes me scream. I'm a professional consultant and can navigate any system - PC or Mac - or RAID system you have. No problem. I worked in Silicon Valley for 25 years and was even a product manager for a major software product at Adobe Systems. However, finding the right utility to download for this drive is nearly impossible. simply because the G-Tech website and documentation is so lame. Then as I detailed my quest for - and possible location of - the right utility in an exchange on the official G-Tech support forum (with a bit of frustration I guess) to not only help YOU, but to others as well Helping customers with the same solution, they decided never to post my answer. Will I buy more G-Tech gear in the future? May be. This is good stuff. Would I ever recommend him to any of the many professional photographers I support as a Photoshop and Lightroom consultant? no Updated November 2015. m downgraded to one star for unreliable implementation of Thunderbolt. Again, I really want to like this disc. but if you have one, I would just use the USB interface. I keep getting drive errors and had a drive crash with this drive when connected via Thunderbolt. Granted, this issue may be a minor incompatibility with my Thunderbolt dock, but none of my other G-Tech drives, Promise RAID units, or Areca RAID units have these issues with the same interface. Bracket is unstable and weak. One more hit and I'll open the door for them.
