Arrived late - package damaged and confused

This was a first communion gift for my goddaughter. It arrived late, with a crumpled box and a tangled chain. I am extremely disappointed. It is unacceptable for the recipient of a gift to remove the chain before putting the gift on. I thought I bought the perfect gift for a special occasion. Unfortunately, he arrived at my godson's house looking like his gift hadn't been thought of.
