So so helpful. Best car charger

So first let me explain my reasons for purchasing this product. I have a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe and it has a problem with the low battery indicator. I've checked several times and the battery voltage is 13.7 but the gauge on the dash shows exactly between 9 and 14 volts which if you do the math is 11.5v. I knew the correlation between the display and the actual voltage so I walked it for a while. I was driving one night, it was hot, so I turned on the AC, turned on the headlights and the radio, and happened to look at the gauge and the needle was pointing at 9 volts. Now it scared me. I found that 11.5v is 13.7, so 9 is 11-something volts. The next day I went to the shop and checked the alternator and it was back at 13.7 and putting out 97 amps when tapped at a maximum output of 100 amps on the alternator. No problems found. So I bought this device to monitor my battery/charging voltage as my sensor scares me. I've been driving it with the battery gauge showing 9 and I look at my cigarette lighter and it says 13.1 PART OF SOUL AT THIS BEST. Sure, I should probably check out the sensor, but hey, for less than $20, I'd rather take a look at this than spend $200 or more to diagnose and fix the sensor.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Nothing
