DDR2 667MHz (pc2-5300) is what most second generation netbooks require. I wanted a good brand. Crucial works just like Kingston and Samsung. No A technique. I turned on my eeepc 901 and now I can actually use it for server functions. I understand that Atom processors are not very powerful, but you have to think about it. that you can get away with them first in the app to see their potential. I can run a Quake 3 server, I can run Quake 3 on medium settings, I can surf the web, watch HD videos (depending on how they were encoded). So I figured this thing would make a decent multitasking server. I turned mine into a router, vpn router, file share and remote connection host. And it can do a lot more without a RAM upgrade. Buy a higher quality PSU for the Asus eeepc than the crappy PSU that overheats to death if you need a server or router.
