Having used many types of rope fixers on trucks since the 60's (some not good and drilled holes in the bed etc) with mine father and my own vehicles. This is the only way. Remove the screws completely (they won't fall apart), insert them at an angle to secure the holes to the truck bed, and make sure the jaw clamp is centered on the bottom of the hole. , allows the screws to be tightened. With hand cross (large). Tighten the screws evenly, well and carefully. Over tightening is a mistake, distorted. When you're done, just give them a light push and they'll move out of the way.
