Fan speed cannot be controlled or reported

The only way to control fan speed is to use the 4-pin PWM connector. This is the only way. Anyhow, this fan hub can report fan speeds, if at all. I installed it with an Asus Dark Hero board by connecting this 2 wire connector to my case 1 fan header. The motherboard doesn't see it and doesn't read the fan speed at all. Not in the bios and not in the software. So either the connector coming out of the fan board isn't attached properly, or it just doesn't work. And since there are protrusions on the outside of the connector, it can only be connected one way. When I was messing with all of my BTC mining hardware, many of the cheaper fanhubs needed small mods to get them working properly. Here's the important part. PIN3 on the 4-pin fan connector that this cable connects to is NOT USED AT ALL. Guess which pin that is? Displays the speed of the fan(s). It's a tachometer. So if that connector with that fan hub doesn't use that pin at all, you can't get RPM information at all. You can't just swap the pins on the fan connector. Pin 1 is grounded. Pin 2 - 12V. Pin 3 is the tachometer. Pin 4 - PWM fan control. You definitely need ground, pin 1, then you need pin 3. The cable connector has the wires together so it won't work no matter what you do. Just buy a fan hub that has ALL 4 PWM pins on the inputs and one output. Works perfectly.
