My son loves these he is 12 1/2, height 16, weight 100lbs, very slim athletic build. I bought him the 16th length which fits well, very tight around the buttocks area but he still likes it. I wouldn't recommend buying these if your son is the same way because he won't be wearing them. I bought them for the upcoming school year, not sure if they will fit in two months. In addition, for a child in size 10/12 or 12/14, size 16 fits perfectly!
