I am still concerned that the seller support numbers are not working but I am pleased to report that the seller has contacted us based on my feedback and a replacement sent . As I mentioned in my review below, the pot works great and it's nice to have one that I don't run the risk of burning myself on the lid using. I leave the original review for reference. First Check - The lid hinge broke on the second use (probably due to a malfunction occurring while the unit was heating up), preventing the lid from opening/closing or seating properly. The hinge is about 1 inch wide, and you can see in the photos that it's about 3/4 broken, so it held on to less than a quarter inch of plastic (where it split it's completely smooth). I had to break the loop in the remaining stretch so now the lid just comes off. Interestingly, the device works great and I like it, but it's in poor condition as the lid is quite insecure to fit and difficult to remove after cooking. I tried to contact the seller but their 800 number is out of service, their contact on the website isn't working and no one answered when I emailed them. Unfortunately, after the first successful brew, I destroyed the packaging so I can't return it. The block still works, it's just inconvenient. If the lid hinge hadn't broken, I would have given it 5 stars. I would think twice before buying now realizing that their customer service information is basically a gimmick.
