Review on πŸ”© CIRCOPACK Aluminum Snap Grip Clamps by Derek Helvie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

They work, but don't quite justify their price.

When I'm paying a dollar a piece for something like this, I expect someone to take a few seconds to file those very sharp edges. If you don't do anything around the edges you'll either cut your finger or the plastic or both. I used 3/4" on a 1" EMT tube and they fit snugly and I was able to bend them a bit to get more than a plastic wrap under some of them. Even with rounded edges, they tear plastic because we have a lot of wind here, and constant movement makes it almost uncontrollable. I have lots of irrigation tubing and sprinklers for acres of trees, gardens and shrubs, so I cut a piece of 1" polypropylene tubing, cut it lengthwise and it fits my tubing perfectly... and way better than those aluminum fittings. I say they're okay because of the raw edges, but I can get many collars in any length I want out of 100-foot lengths of polyethylene tubing... and they don't crack, splinter, or get untouchably hot all the while out in the sun.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
