Review on Discover Delphi HP10089: An Efficient Hanger Pump Assembly by Michael Hellewell

I've had good luck with other Delphi parts and when my fuel pump failed I saw this one at Revain for $50 less than major auto parts stores. Fits just like the original and includes a rubber gasket that seals it to the top of the tank. FYI Delphi now makes them in Mexico, previous reviews mentioned they were made in the USA. To get to the fuel pump I decided to remove the platform on my truck with an engine jack. If you don't live in the Rust Belt, this is the easiest way, although it sounds intimidating at first. Remove the 6 bed mounting bolts, disconnect the license plate light, disconnect the tail light harness (driver's rear), remove the rear axle vent tube from the bottom of the bed, remove the 3 filler bolts and remove the external hose clamp on the filler pipe (fender well inside) . After that, the bed raises and gives you easy access to the fuel pump without having to lie on your back until dirt gets in your eyes. Much luck!
