Discover Delphi HP10089: An Efficient Hanger Pump Assembly Review

Used to replace a generic mechanically installed pump that lasted 360 days of a 365 day warranty. I didn't want to return it for another defective fuel pump. So I installed this Delphi on my 1999 Ford F150 xlt with a 139 inch wheelbase. I am very pleased with the build quality of this pump and the lifetime warranty.

Thing works fine. My other fuel pump is dead. It was original and had 15 years on it. Removed old and this new fits perfectly. Installed and connected in minutes. The truck started right away and has been running for about a month with no problems. Good quality. Easy installation. Excellent price.

The Delphi pump I received was perfect for my 2003 F150 Supercab. The metal has a "Delphi" imprint on the top plate (see photo). It also comes with a rubber grommet that fits the 6 screws that hold it in place. I've had good luck with other Delphi parts and when my fuel pump failed I saw this one at Revain for $50 less than major auto parts stores. Fits just like the original and includes a rubber gasket that seals it to the top of the tank. FYI Delphi now makes them in Mexico, previous reviews mentioned they were made in the USA. Addition to my review. It lost after about 2 or 3 months. Now the maximum pressure is only 24psi and the truck speed does not exceed 2mph. Now I have to pull it out and see if it's real Delphi. It was packaged in a Revain box and inside was the pump and hangar assembly in bubble wrap with instructions. But nothing was said inside about Delphi (or any other brand). So far so good. Perfect fit for my 2002 F150. The old pump had over 180,000 miles and lost pressure when it shut off, and the pressure was only 28psi while running (should be closer to 32-36, although 28 is just on the low end of spec). I got the old one before it completely failed. I figured a well known brand would be a safe bet and half the price of a Motorcraft brand pump.
