Like new condition means the remote is fairly clean. The back half is dirty and scratched. The front panel is relatively clean, but "carbon deposits" are visible in the spaces between the buttons and the case. It looks like the seller took the front panel off, washed it in the dishwasher and reassembled it. This works, but some of the buttons have to be pressed unnecessarily hard to activate their function. I suspect that due to usage some of the switch contacts are worn out.
