When my daughter spends the night at her grandmother’s house, we used to pack her normal-sized pillow. Sometimes we forgot. Regardless, it was bulky. I purchased this pillow to keep in her overnight bag. Awesome fit! We keep it in the bag for her overnights at grandmas or when we all go out of town to visit relatives.
