The knife cuts great, but the philosophy of use must be learned. My first time using a knife like this and I had to learn angles and how to measure depth so give it a little practice before using it on a project. Wtbs it's way ahead of tow skiers for cuts and heavier than the French style which I love. Definitely worth having in your arsenal. Good driving stability and grip. Pull out the box
