Great for loose tea and also when pouring coffee from a French press into a cup to filter out the grounds and excess sediment. You can use a nice little plastic stick to hang the filter - just slide it up through the filter and when you're making tea hang it on the rim of the cup, or you can hold the filter stick over the cup. a cup. I use a French coffee press and have found that even when pouring with the filter press in place coffee grounds and some coffee grounds can get into my coffee cup and look like sediment as you get closer to the bottom of the cup. Not wanting to drink it, I decided to use these disposable tea filters to pour coffee into a mug - and they work great for filtering out all of the above, although in what I do (unless you have a very deep cup) II Hold the filter on a stick ABOVE the coffee in the cup while it is being filtered instead of hanging the filter stick on the sides of the cup to allow the tea leaves to infuse into the hot water. Very efficient. Good quality filters are small and designed for a single cup of tea, although they can potentially work with small/narrow teapots as well.
