Light and fragile

Due to the reasonable price and the many positive reviews I ordered this to replace my old DVD player but was very disappointed with the unit. That the inner box (product) came covered in a thick layer of black dust or grime as if it had been in a coal mine for several months is a bit embarrassing, but the problem is with the device. myself. It is very light and thin. The DVD tray actually wobbles when opened or closed and I have to be very careful when inserting a disc or it won't seat properly or stick. He seems so unstable that I'm afraid it won't last long. The unit plays fine once the disc is properly inserted, but the remote control is a nightmare. The whole device feels more like a toy than any player I've had before, but the remote control feels like a particularly cheap and poorly designed toy. In whose hands should this thing be used? I have normal sized hands but I feel like Gulliver trying to use this thing. It's very small, which makes pressing the right button and only the right button problematic (think Homer Simpson and his fat hand dialer). It's also shaped like a near-perfect rectangle, so you can't tell which end is up unless you're looking straight at it - another problem when viewing in a darkened room, which is usually the case here. Picture and sound are ok but no better than the $40 unit I bought almost 8 years ago. came out of a really big box of cereal. Not recommended.
