All 5* reviews - BS. That does not work.

First off, anyone who says installation is easy is a professional locksmith. My friend is a general contractor and can install and repair just about anything. So he installed it in about 2 hours. Second, the instructions are ok, but they DO NOT WORK. The lock is not paired. Lots of "no permission" error messages. The situation is similar with keychains. After many repeated efforts and phone calls to China, we got the fingerprint working. But it never worked until the 3rd or 4th attempt. You should just hold your finger like that, not tremble. We ordered a second lock thinking the first might be defective. I had to send both back. As such, it's still unclear if anyone who ever figured anything out using this lock was able to successfully utilize its robust feature set. I seriously doubt it. While the customer service technicians may be well intentioned, they are located in China and are only available after 9:00 PM EST. And they will call you back even if you don't mean a message. However, their limited knowledge of the English language made it almost impossible to communicate in order to fix serious problems. I would give it almost 2* because it's solidly built, they offer 5 buttons and do everything they can to support svc/tech customers. But I can not. It was a huge challenge and ultimately a waste of time and energy. If everything went as originally hoped and as advertised this would give 5* and represent very good value for money. I have a feeling that the seller are 3 Chinese women involved in the business but don't know anything about the product itself.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
