I bought this feeder to fit my English budgie and his partner who is a normal sized female budgie. They have been using the feeder for many months. I liked how the bowls are sorted into the bottom bowl for emptying. However, one morning I discovered that my female parrot was stuck in one of the slots in the part where the bird stands to eat. Apparently it happened in the evening. I only found her in the morning, thrashing herself terribly trying to free herself. She had to be put down by the vet. If the bird had very short claws, this might not have happened. However, I think the feeder needs to be redesigned to keep the bird from getting caught on the finger. It was a terrible trap and trauma
