Excellent grip and fun to use

I bought this tool to dig in Sunstone mines in the Oregon desert. It was an absolute pleasure to own and use. I don't have much strength in my hands and was worried it would be too heavy to use, but after using it for a few days I didn't feel tired. It cut through desert sands so smoothly and split rocks so easily that I continued to use it past its scheduled shutdown time, returning to my camp after nightfall in the 25 degrees Fahrenheit. This tool just wants to work for you and do whatever it takes. I love the look of the leather-handled version, but I tried it out in a store and it was too slick for me to use for anything other than a display. What good is a tool if it slips in your hand and offers no grip? This blue grip version offers a great grip whether you're working barehanded or with gloves on. I firmly believed that it would stay in my hands and go exactly where I want. All in all definitely a perfect purchase.
