Ordered these oil filter tongs for use on restaurant equipment used to filter hot oil in fryers. The union nut is smooth and easy to burn when loosened, these pliers eliminate the risk of burns. This tool also makes disassembly easier when parts get stuck due to thermal expansion/contraction, which was another reason for purchasing this automotive tool.
