The perfect finishing touch to my garage cave and the most beautiful garlands I've ever seen. That's because they look less like Christmas lights and more like the lights you might see at a beach bar. Brightness. They are bright enough to act as functional light sources. Even with these alone, I can see perfectly in my garage. (They have a dimmer function which allows them to be more like the brightness of a candle but I never found it necessary) - Longevity. They are very well done. I even accidentally stepped on one while installing them, which is fine. (The most delicate part is connecting the plug to the garland, make sure it's not too tight) - Remote control. The remote control is something I didn't even think I would need but it ties everything together, I love being able to turn it on and off from my chair. CONS: - The lights arrived very confusing, I suggest cracking cold beer before and after untangling. The remote control works within a maximum distance of 10 feet. This wasn't a problem for me, but if you depend on using the remote then this could make a difference for you. The size of the actual lighting. I'm happy with them but based on the pictures I was expecting them to be bigger than they are. In fact, each is about the size of a quarter or the cap of a water bottle. I don't find the lighting effects he's talking about very pretty, they just blink/strobe or turn off certain colors. I never use them. I think if there was a speed setting for the light effect patterns it would be perfect because the effect patterns are too fast/crazy. Overall though, I'm very happy with this purchase and think I'll want to get some more strings from these at some point in the future!
