Was hoping it would be 40x. I'm a graphic designer and I often need to view printed surfaces at high magnifications. I ordered two so the manager and I could have one. I have a Fowler 15x loupe that has been with me for 50 years. The price of Kingmas was pretty low by this store's loupe, but I decided to give it a try. It might be 20x but not enough to make it better than what I have. Yes it was disappointing but not surprising. I'm someone who believes you get what you pay for. I also think you have to pay for your mistakes and I will not send loops back. Instead, I gifted them to my grandchildren, who will enjoy exploring the tiny creatures that roam outside. LED light will bring them fun. Oh yes, they came in plastic cases, one was completely crushed.
