Review on πŸ“ž ClearSounds CSCSC600ER: Enhanced 1-Handset Landline Telephone with Crystal Clear Sound by Karrie Murphy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product - just two small flaws

This is a quality SOS phone. It does everything it can to alert a family member that your loved one is in trouble and needs immediate help when they press the SOS button on the pendant. The SOS telephone automatically dials up to five phone numbers in succession until someone is reached. If nobody calls, the automatic dialing sequence begins again. When you (a family member or caregiver) receive an emergency call for help from someone in need and you answer, you can press any number on your phone to start a two-way hands-free conversation with the person who called for help. Nice feature, and the speakerphone mic on the phone is quite sensitive, although it can only really pick up the voice if the victim is close enough to the base for the mic to pick up their voice. You'll still be alerted that your loved one needs help and know what to say, even if the person in distress is too far from the base station microphone to have a two-way conversation. This phone also allows family members or caregivers to make long-distance calls and start a two-way conversation if there is no answer after 10 rings. It is also pretty. Two criticisms: 1. The dialpad is quite hard to press for my 86 year old frail mother. The number keys should be easier to press to enter a phone number to dial.2. The velcro designed for use on the wrist of the hanging SOS button is too big for small wrists and the hanger stays very loose hanging on my mother's rather narrow wrist making the button difficult to access. If your loved one is overweight or a tall person, you shouldn't have a problem with a strap that fits your wrist. A NOTICE. There is a neck strap that can be used for the SOS tag, but my mother doesn't like it around her neck. She prefers to wear it on her wrist.
