Actually, I'm grateful that the tripod broke the same day I received it. I was able to return it immediately and buy another tripod. There's a new model of goosenecks that don't rely on the "pod" method for flexibility, and I think they're much better. Also, this tripod doesn't have a portrait mode option for the phone. You must physically set up your tripod to shoot in portrait mode. Other flexible tripods have a 360 degree connection for portrait shots from any angle. The price is right, but you might not get all the features (or durability) you need.
