not real wood - Craft

This is a kind of pressed cardboard. If you just want to paint it, that's fine. But I wanted to drill a big hole in it for crafting, and the block crumbled into layers of paper and sawdust. Since it was listed as rough wood I assumed it was hardwood. I was very disappointed! Now I have a stack of useless blocks.
