The remote control was identical to the one that came with the Insignia TV I had. The original remote had a few buttons that didn't work like they were worn out. This remote that I bought worked flawlessly for about a month. The main buttons I used were fine at first, then one after another stopped working. It's like the insides of both remotes have dried out and just don't work anymore. I disassembled my original remote and cleaned the contacts following the instructions on YouTube. It helped for 1 or 2 keys but eventually they stopped working again. The buttons on the new remote control that I bought from Revain also gradually stopped working. I will not invest in another. Now I only use the universal remote control.
