Review on πŸ”§ PBT Oil Filter Drain Hose - PBT71114, Improving Drainage Efficiency for Oil Filters by Gregory Castellanos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use. No more chaos! Necessary.

Works great! It's very easy, just screw it in and then the oil will flow out the end of the tube. The only thing I did was cut the pipe to make a "plug" a few inches. I found the hose too long. The machined part that screws in appears to be well made and should last a lifetime. I service all my cars and do everything myself. Have been doing it for over 25 years. I no longer have access to a tire changer/balancer, but I have also made my own tire adjustments. I have changed the oil and filter many times in 25 years. It was pretty easy. Drain the oil, then remove and replace the spin-on oil filter. Now Toyota has this new oil filter system which is now very difficult to replace. Was very dirty before this tool. Oil ran all over the floor. Since I've been using this tool, not anymore. Many of the Toyota parts that make up this new oil filter system still take much longer and require more effort to clean. You must have plenty of brake cleaner to do this! I'm disappointed in Toyota's decision to use this system. I understand that no metal is used so metal is not wasted like old threaded filters. Changing takes more work, so people are more likely to change the oil at Toyota or other auto repair shops. I say watch some youtube videos and change your oil! I buy oil filters by the piece for all my long-haul vehicles. If you bought an Assenmacher Specialty Tools TOY 640 Toyota / Lexus Oil Filter Socket, you should buy this one too. For about $30, this tool makes changing the oil easier! In my opinion it's worth it. If this review helped you in any way, please click to make it useful.
