Misleading product image

Actual product differs from image. In fact, the product is made of plastic and not metal as shown in the photo. Sent back for a refund. I don't think the plastic will last very long.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Works as advertised

Worth it if you are an oil changer and don't want to have oil on your hands when draining the filter. The hose is a bit long, but can be shortened easily and is better than too short.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

Outstanding fit and function

Outstanding fit and function. It's much easier for me to change the oil (Toyota Tundra CM 2016). The only complaint is that they twist like a hose and are very difficult to straighten, requiring you to hold them with both hands when draining the oil, but overall I would recommend this product.

  • New

The product is not the same as in the photo. The ones I received.

Item not as shown. The one I received was all plastic not metal as shown in the picture. The plastic part is not worth the selling price. Unfortunately, this is the first time I've received a product that doesn't even come close to matching the product image. Even the product photo on the packaging shows the metal valve bleeder screw.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • low repairability

Great idea in Oil Filters and Accessories

WHY did I wait so long? It makes my oil change MUCH better! I used to be afraid to change the oil on my Venza and clean up. Now there is no mess. My only issue is storing the hose because if you don't flush it, there will always be a little more oil dripping out of the hose. At the moment I connected two ends together and excess oil is collected in a loop. minor problem.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Almost never

Worked great on a 2007 Lexus GS350. Not a necessary tool, but useful

Do you really need this tool? no Most oil filters come with a plastic nozzle that you can use to drain the oil around the oil filter. it doesn't come out quickly and there is only about 1/4 quart of oil in it. However, it is easier than using the plastic parts as they screw in and you have precise control over where the oil goes. If you plan to change your Toyota/Lexus oil within a few years, this is a worthwhile investment. I'll probably cut the tubing in half as the length is too long for…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • No automatic

Deceptive picture. for oil filters and accessories

I bought this item because the other brand I wanted to buy was out of stock. Another brand has metal hardware, and the one pictured in this piece is also metal, although it costs $5 more. When I received the item, the fitting was plastic. I contacted Revain and they agreed to replace the first one. I got a second one and it was also made of plastic. Very disappointed. I'm sure it will work, but I'm not sure if it's durable. I would be willing to pay $15 or so for the one I got but not the $30…

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Update February 1, 2015: I changed the oil again on my 2007 Tundra and this tool is just great. When changing the oil filter, you must drain the water from the oil filter housing before removing the oil filter itself. This process is extremely messy and difficult to perform with the plastic drain valve that comes with the oil filter kit. This tool offers easy drainage and no mess. The tool screws directly into the oil filter housing and allows the hose to be routed into the water pan. I would…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Easy to use. No more chaos! Necessary.

Works great! It's very easy, just screw it in and then the oil will flow out the end of the tube. The only thing I did was cut the pipe to make a "plug" a few inches. I found the hose too long. The machined part that screws in appears to be well made and should last a lifetime. I service all my cars and do everything myself. Have been doing it for over 25 years. I no longer have access to a tire changer/balancer, but I have also made my own tire adjustments. I have changed the oil and filter…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Keep calm
