Do you really need this tool? no Most oil filters come with a plastic nozzle that you can use to drain the oil around the oil filter. it doesn't come out quickly and there is only about 1/4 quart of oil in it. However, it is easier than using the plastic parts as they screw in and you have precise control over where the oil goes. If you plan to change your Toyota/Lexus oil within a few years, this is a worthwhile investment. I'll probably cut the tubing in half as the length is too long for what I need.
