My original RCA control stopped working so I had to order these. I've been trying to set up the controls on my TV using the quickest way recommended, which is to have it scan when turned on. After 3 attempts it still didn't work, so I looked for my model according to the instructions, it wasn't there. After 2 more attempts it finally worked. It's a good controller so far, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't have a sleep button like my original RCA controller. If you're in a dilemma then think differently, I would look for one that has a sleep button if you like falling asleep to the sound of your TV but don't want it on all night.
