I am an average size based on the size chart and they are too tight. I know the compression material is supposed to be tight but it was painful. I ended up cutting off part of the bodice to wear them. I would increase the size if I buy them again. Updated on 05/14. – After writing my first review, I was contacted by customer service about a copper compression mechanism. They offered to send me a large pair or give me a full refund. I have a pair two sizes larger than what I bought based on the size chart. Compression stockings help with swelling and general soreness. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with ankle or foot pain. They're not a miracle cure for pain, but they do help and make you feel better.
