Love this scale! best in category Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

Escali is well known for the quality and accuracy of its scales. I use the smaller Escali to weigh my espresso shots every morning. I've had this scale for 4 years now and it still works perfectly. These food scales are so wonderful. They weigh both liquids and solids. Volumes, ounces/grams etc are programmed into the scale and it knows how to weigh it for you, either by volume or by ounces. If the item you are weighing is not listed, you can program it manually. I love that you can place your bowl on the scale, tare, add ingredients, easily switch from volume to ounces, and tare between additions. In most cases you can program an element by number in a list and it's very easy. It's a very accurate scale designed for heavy loads, it has a large weighing surface to accommodate a larger bowl, and the display stays on for a long time so it doesn't turn off in the middle of what you're doing. and that gives you enough time to get and measure the next ingredient. If I had the will, I wouldn't have to keep track of the list, but I could type the first few letters of the weight I'm weighing on the scale and it would appear. Maybe the next generation is there for that. It also has a nice bright large display that is easy to read. For me, this scale is worth the money. It's so accurate that it's a must when baking and conditions are so variable like moisture, cold, heat etc. I bake much better or whatever I do like extracts or dough weights etc.
