The camera itself is fine. It is clear that those who have ever designed fastening hardware have never held a screwdriver in their hands. The mounting holes are within the perimeter of the camera body, so the screwdriver cannot be placed directly on the screw head. Also, there is no easy way to remove the mounting base, after which the camera can be mounted on the base. Also, there was no mounting template in the box, despite the instructions saying one should be included. It would also be better if the wiring harness could be detached from the camera, both for mounting and for inserting the cable into my camera. A house. However, I had to drill a fairly large hole for the wire harness and its three connectors to fit through the hole. If the wiring harness was detachable, I could drill a hole slightly larger than the diameter of the wire, thread the wire through the wall, and then reattach it to the camera. Again, I have to imagine that those who ever developed this system never had to install it. The app also requires a lot of work. When he picks it up this morning, he shows a photo from last night. The microphone works but the image does not update. It's pretty much useless. Luckily, I also paired this with my Echo Show showing the current image. However, it takes quite a long time for the image to appear, either in the app (if it's running) or on the Echo Show. Also not very helpful. If someone is roaming my yard, I want to see them right away, not a minute after a would-be thief has stolen my car or anything else. Everything else is wrong. Netvue should hire a competent designer (or three) for assembly, wiring and application. I gave these three stars, although I think if I could I would give the camera itself a 5 and everything else a 1. I would have added an image but it is poorly set due to the custom theme. Edited to add: Camera stopped working today 9/8/2018, bought in July. I chatted with Mark at the support desk. After a little troubleshooting, a replacement will be sent. Although I had trouble installing it, the customer support is top notch (assuming they send a replacement). I will add another star from 3 to 4 to my rating based on my experience today.
