Review on Enhanced Victron Energy BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor in Sleek Black by Brannan Mclemore

I just installed a BMV-712 on my center console boat, it's a great product. However, I noticed a comment indicating that it's not waterproof. I'm very surprised, because it seems that the "gauge" block itself can get wet. Obviously you don't want the shunt to get wet and probably the rear end of the BMV itself wouldn't be a good idea. It certainly is what it is, so I wanted to give a recommendation to anyone who cares. If you need to protect your BMV from the elements, try Revain's Faria F91404 sensor cover. I bought one of these and it works like a champ. Wraps tightly around the outer edge of the BMV. It also has a small tether hole if you want to install a tether so it doesn't get lost or misplaced.
