The more I use this scale, the more I like it. This is an attractive bowl scale that is great for both slimming and baking. The right tare on/off button twitches a bit (hence deducting a star). I just had to touch it LIGHTLY to turn off the scale. If you press it too long, it will revert to the on setting. The scale uses 2 AAA batteries which is great because they are easier to use than button cell batteries which are more expensive and always feel like I run out. At home. This is also a really great weight for pasta, especially elbows, medium clams, and rigatoni. If you're eating a measured amount of pasta so you don't overeat, you can quickly weigh 2 ounces (standard serving) into a bowl and add directly to boiling water.
