I have ordered two Alfa antennas and the Wifi-Analytics Amped Wireless Apps from the Google Playstore used Make 15 measurements before and after updating the antenna, take the "average" signal level, the gain is phenomenal: an improvement of 10dB. A 3dB gain equals a doubling of the amplitude of the signal, so at 9dB my signals are 8 times stronger. The length of the antenna likely contributes to this gain, since standard antennas are short and router signals get blocked by things on my desk. After confirming a 9-10dB gain, I ordered four more to upgrade my ASUS N66U router and Amped Wireless R20000G Wi-Fi Extender. Aggravation. Now all four cameras show up on my phone at once. Signal strength increased from 68-70% to 93-100% with just two new Alfa antennas, one on the router, one on the extender. I am very satisfied and can only recommend it.
