We currently have two of these units. They do an excellent job of cooling small and medium-sized rooms. Don't expect a whisper motor. They have a relatively loud hum. But you can work with them. The main thing is that they do their job. Cool the room and direct moisture through the window. If, like us, you have tall sash windows, you need an extension or a custom-fit insert. In the end, we settled on a special insole that a craftsman made for us. Works great with both.
