Review on πŸ”’ 16 Pack of Wide Mouth Mason Jar Lids - Food Grade Colored Plastic Caps for Ball, Kerr Jars and More, Ideal for Storage - Leak-Proof, Anti-Scratch Resistant Surface by Bart Elbrink

Revainrating 5 out of 5

OMFG is so funky! But they are just as functional and durable as white ones.

They're autoclavable and work just as well as regular white plastic lids, but they have quirky and fun colors that you'll either like or dislike. Make no mistake, they're just as functional for organizational purposes, you might actually find yourself preferring them over a quick categorical identification? Just saying ;) Here's a bonus not listed in the product description. I bought a few more silicone seal kits for these types of plastic lids when I ordered them because in case you didn't know, they don't necessarily seal completely when it comes to leaking when the jars fall on their sides. . So it's generally recommended that you use silicone gaskets that you glue into the lids (they have their own problems, e.g. you have to make sure you tighten the lids more than you'd expect since you're using less canning cord to holding the lid). . I bought four of these devices, each shipped and came in a plastic bag with all the fancy multi colored lids, but to my great surprise three of the four bags contained silicone. Gaskets not even mentioned in the product description! Can you say "BONUS"? The overall rating I gave in this review was an award of 5 stars out of 5, but in the sub-categories "tight" and "easy to remove" I only gave four stars, which is not indicative of a rating for this particular manufacturer but more for this type. Plastic lids in general Overall I highly recommend these particular lids in general and especially if you enjoy painting things in the kitchen!
