Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Pickle Pot Sparex Acid: Efficient Jewelry Repair Tools for Soldering by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Seriously overpriced

While the smaller Ursa Minor is as good as a pickle I actually found the stainless steel to rust on the side with prolonged exposure to the brine and indeed I have it blown up. I took it off and as it cooled it formed a seal around the rim and "sucked" the lid. I don't know when it exploded, whether on cooling or reheating, but it spattered acid all over my workbench, tools, and the LCD TV I had on my workbench (it ruined the TV). ). If you choose this model, I highly recommend drilling a small hole in the cap to relieve pressure. Second, there is no on/off switch on this model. I prefer two-liter models with a switch on the front. I kept forgetting to turn it off disconnect from the network. The ones with dials make it easier to see that you haven't turned them off. Besides, who's selling this one, right? There are others at Revain in the $16 range and you can buy them locally for about the same price. $38 is AMAZING.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
